New vocabulary and collocations

Week 09/12/15.

To have a quandary

To be lost for words = so shocked you cannot speak
To show your appreciation for somebody/something = To thank someone for doing something
To put somebody in a difficult position
To be in a quandary = To have a dilemma

So as to show their appreciation for my fiancée meeting with their approval, my parents threw a party. However, my father got rather carried away and I was lost for words and left in a quandary.

To dispel = to get rid of/to disprove
To run out = to be in low supply
Coarse = opposite of rough
